Dunno if anyone noticed (except for one person, more on him later), but I've been off of dA for a while now.
Now, don't worry, I'm not leaving or anything. What happened was, I started work on a project that's kind of special for me, and I decided to avoid DA for a little while because I wanted to have time both for my project and for school. Also, there's the fact that I'd been more of a lurker lately, and had decided I wanted to come back with a bang.

Well, here's the bang: I started work writing a sit-com - a situational comedy for television - based on my life. I have no illusions regarding it ever being made. I did it, however, as an exercise in writing and as self-therapy. So far I've written the first episode out of a planned 13. The episodes are 45 minutes each, which translates to approximately 45 pages of material. I don't plan on writing all 13 - way too intense - but I have a few of my friends, fellow deviants, lined up to share the burden with me.

My progress so far has amounted to the first draft of the pilot episode. The show is provisionally titled Only Child. It's a terrible name, I know. How about "Mother and Son"? We'll see. Anyway, I posted that first draft, in five parts. Didn't put it in scraps, though, but I will eventually. I'd really appreciate comments and criticism, thanks!

As for the "goodbye" - I'm off to Quebec in a few minutes, going to spend the three-day-weekend there, and I won't have my computer with me, which means internet silence for about a bit.
